Resource Information Unit (RIU) is an independent Australian publishing and research business established in 1976 which specialises in mining and oil and gas. It produces market-leading online news services and mining research information. It also publishes mining reference books which are regarded as the ‘bibles’ of the mining industry RIU employs a team of experienced journalists, researchers and sales people operating out of an office in West Perth, Western Australia, which houses one of the country's most comprehensive mining industry data bases. RIU also conducts mining conferences through its subsidiary business, RIU Conferences Pty Ltd, which is managed by professional conference organiser Vertical Events.
