Respect Training

Respect Training has been leading the way in training to prevent, de-escalate and manage behaviours of concern and the reduction of restrictive practice for over 20 years. We believe the individual should be at the heart of what we do and should be treated with respect irrespective of the circumstances in which they are in need of support. And we also believe in providing professional training to ensure staff and organisations are equipped with the right skills and knowledge to ensure this happens. That’s why we developed Respect, tailored training packages to prevent, de-escalate and manage challenging situations. A person-centred approach based on support, not control. Training that helps you understand the reasons behind individual’s behaviours of concern and provides the skills to de-escalate and manage it in the least restrictive way. Equipping individuals and organisations with the skills and knowledge needed to keep both themselves and the people in their care safe. Used by leading mental health services provider Navigo, as well as a variety of national organisations including education, health and social care facilities, Respect is certified by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities Association of certified training (BILDACT), and the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.
