The Problem: We often discuss the need to change how we eat and produce for a living planet, but we seldom address the interconnectivity of fashion and food. Fashion and food today share supply chains but lack data and responsibility, creating a significant issue when calculating the impact of a product that started in the food value chain but ended up in the fashion value chain. This is particularly complicated for animal-derived products, as they involve animals, humans, and nature. Our Solution: Responsible Systems is a collaborative technology infrastructure that covers all steps and stakeholders in a value chain to connect fashion with food, ensuring honest traceability, impact, and ethics. Our solution includes the ethical specification of products, digital IDs (the RSiD), supply chain mapping, and traceability from farm to artisans and end clients in a circular economy structure
