We are an Australian not-for-profit that sets globally recognised standards for managing forests sustainably. Responsible Wood has the largest area of certified forest by country in the southern hemisphere. Our vision is to ensure Australia’s forests, and all products sourced from them, are amongst the most sustainable in the world. We are the Australian member of PEFC International, the world’s leading forest certification system. We ensure Australian and global forest values and products are protected for generations to come through independent third-party certification. Promoting world-class, science-based sustainably managed forests through the sustainable forest management standard AS/NZS 4708. Promoting trusted, transparent and traceable forest products through the chain of custody for forest and tree based products standards AS 4707 & PEFC ST 2002.
