Responsible Brands Initiative

Responsible Brands Initiative is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation with the primary goal of enabling consumers to select products from companies that actively support responsible sourcing throughout their raw material and manufacturing supply chains. Much has been written about inhumane work conditions in some manufacturing environments. In recent years, there has been increasing focus on "responsible sourcing" of raw ingredients and manufactured products. Companies around the globe are investing to assure their supply-chains operate ethically, humanely and with transparency. Many have departments and teams of people focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. For all this investment, most consumers don't know which brands have responsible supply chains. These consumers want to make the "right" choice, yet that decision can be very complex. Working together, companies who produce products responsibly will enjoy the benefit of the Responsible Brands Initiative recognition as they demonstrate compliance with RBI requirements.
