The Restaurant Roundtable was founded by a group of business owners, providers and vendors to build, promote and support local restaurants and restaurant groups. The effort is led by President Gerard Kane. The Restaurant Roundtable recognizes the everyday challenges that the great restaurants on Long Island & NYC face on a daily basis.
Fact: 80% of restaurants in New York will go out of business within the first five years. What are some of the problems that will force a good restaurant to go under? We started asking the owners of some of the best known restaurants that exact question and not surprisingly most of their own issues had to do with the cost of products and services.
For a new restaurant, just getting the word out to the community to draw customers can not only be a major undertaking, but can cost major dollars as well. With that in mind, the Restaurant Roundtable created a program where we conduct a complete analysis on a restaurant's operating costs and show them how to not only save money, but how we can help them make money as well, by offering to help market their restaurant to the Community with no up-front cost to the restaurant as a Restaurant Roundtable member.
