The Restoration Alliance

.The Restoration Alliance is a collaborative effort dedicated to restoring degraded landscapes, particularly in the Great Rift Valley, with a target of planting 1 million trees by 2028. This ambitious initiative is driven by a commitment to revitalize ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, and mitigate the impacts of climate change. By coordinating tree planting activities across its member organizations, The Restoration Alliance has already successfully planted 240,000 trees. These efforts are a testament to the alliance’s dedication to ecological restoration and the positive impact it seeks to create on the environment and local communities. A key focus of The Restoration Alliance is to improve the capacity of its member organizations, which include Scope Intervention, Save Kenya Water Towers, Koibatek Ogiek Women and Youth Network (KOWYN), and EcoSmart Africa.
