We aim to invest in our own capital in 200 companies across North America each year: roughly half are the typical “tech possibility” and the other half are what we call “main street realities.” We do this because it’s important… and we do this because we’re constructing the ideal investment portfolio. In order to make this happen, we drive back and forth across North America to visit the places that startups actually start (and grow) their businesses. Since 2016, we’ve driven 100,000+ miles, visited 150+ cities and sat down to chat with thousands of founders. At each stop, we create and/or participate a series of events for entrepreneurs, investors and community leaders. Along the way, we’ve mentor thousands of entrepreneurs, visited incubators and coworking spaces, held investor dinners and jumped into the local tech culture. And we love bringing our friends too.
