RetencjaPL is a leading consultancy in digital rainwater management in Poland. We support our clients in facing their rainwater challenges . We help to implement good practices in rainwater to those who, in the same way as we do, recognize water as a valuable resource. In our design and consulting practice we apply knowledge and scientific achievements, being both efficient and pragmatic on our engineering approach. We create easy-to-use digital rainwater management tools. In 2020, we published the first digital atlas of maximum precipitation for Poland, covering 12,885 unique DDF (Depth-Duration-Frequency) models. Nowadays, it is the basis of a digital platform for designers of drainage systems. The platform has 15 tools for calculating various elements of drainage systems, from green roofs, through syphonic roof drainage up to pumping stations, retention tanks and oil separators. We are proud of the results of our work as nearly 6,000 professionals is already using the tools on the platform in more than 37,000 projects. This is our joint success with leading companies delivering technical solutions for rainwater management on the Polish market. We are currently building new tools and integrating them with each other as part of the WaterFolder Connect project. The idea is to establish proper basis for drainage systems to be designed based on proper data and hydrodynamic modeling. The platform basis is a set of nearly 32,000 torrential rainfalls from Poland and a database of local model hyetographs. As a company, we focus very much on education and exchange of knowledge. That is why we organise every year the largest stormwater event in Poland – the Stormwater Poland conference. At the conference we host about 300-400 participants from Poland and the region, with speakers from all over the world.
