Aluminum cans are one of the most popular forms of packaging in numerous European countries. Countless beers, soft drinks and energy drinks are bottled with this highly attractive, environmentally friendly packaging material. In every country hundreds of millions of aluminum can are sold every year. With the lack of the right handling systems, these valuable materials are wasted in a number of countries. Our company has the right solution for this very important problem. In 2006 Returpack Kft and Sealorient Kft began developing a special ALUcan Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) as well as a recycling collection system. The goal of this was to develop a highly effective aluminum can collection system through an automated store-based deposit or waste material management and reverse logistics process. The first units and the system itself were brought into circulation in 2007. In six years, by 2013, there are over 200 RVM units in Hungary, some of which have been functioning for several years.
