Served as the manager of the Israeli Gene Bank and as the Israeli representative at several European Community committees. He was a member of the executive team and was the manager of global plant breeding activities at Hazera Genetics. Dr. Yonash was one of the initiators and was the Director of Genetics and breeding at NRGene, a successful start-up company established in 2010 (developing cutting-edge computational genomics tools to enhance and improve plant R&D programs).
