Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death worldwide, with 7 million cases reported each year. Shockingly, 65% of these cases occur outside of a hospital. Whether at home, the gym, a meeting, on vacation, at school, or at the office, anyone can experience a cardiac emergency at any time, regardless of age. Why is having an AED crucial? Time is critical: In Spain, emergency services take between 6 and 12 minutes to arrive. For every minute without defibrillation, the chances of survival decrease by 10%. After 10 minutes without defibrillation, survival is virtually impossible. CPR alone is not enough: Only immediate access to an AED can truly save lives.
