RYN, or Rewrite Your Narrative, is a committee of the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS) Publications that aims to empower and educate engineering students on the social implications of their field. Our goal is to provide students with the necessary knowledge, resources, and opportunities to understand and address social issues, equipping them with the tools necessary to navigate these complex and important topics. By fostering open and informed discussions, providing hands-on learning experiences, and engaging with experts in the field, we strive to create a more socially aware and responsible engineering community that will ultimately benefit society as a whole. Our upcoming event, "Navigating Social Issues in AI" will focus on the impact of AI on student day-to-day life, the use of tools like ChatGPT in academic work, the impact of AI on marginalized communities, and the future of AI and its potential impact on society. This event will be open to all students and faculty, with a focus on engineering students, and it will be held on the McGill campus.
