Rex Magazines

Rex Magazines is the publishing division of Rex Support B.V. and saw the light of day in 2008 when two independent entrepreneurs in the VINEX district of Rotterdam-Nesselande decided to issue a "info paper". The objective was to offer this VINEX neighborhood an added value, something fun. A nice magazine with paid advertisements and interviews so that at least the costs for distribution and printing would be covered. The other costs, such as acquisition, layout, editing and photography, were "paid for free" by the two entrepreneurs. The "info paper" we are talking about was given the name Nesselande Living and was distributed free door to door among the residents of Rotterdam-Nesselande. We are now more than 10 years later and Rex Magazines has grown into a renowned publisher of regional lifestyle magazines. Only one of the initiators remains who has further professionalised the magazines with his team. The own Nikon camera has been exchanged for a number of experienced photographers. The editorial staff is provided by a large team of language artists and the layout and design are in good hands at the Rex Support studio. The number of titles has slowly grown over the years to six regions in the Netherlands. From 4,000 copies in one region to 106,000 copies in six regions in a period when paid magazines are experiencing lower circulation numbers. Our aim is to add even more regions to the portfolio in the coming years.
