RGCB Flow Cytometry Facility

We are a team of flow cytometrists and supporting staff dedicated to provide service in the field of flow cytometry,which is a laser-based technology which allows in depth analysis of the characteristics of cells or particles. It is predominantly used to measure cell populations labelled with fluorescently tagged antibodies or expressing fluorescent proteins. Instruments at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Poojappura campus offer the users the possibility to further their research in applications including, Cell Cycle Analysis Plant ploidy analysis Apoptosis Assays ROS analysis Cell viability assays Glucose uptake Immunophenotyping Cytokine Assays Cell Proliferation Assays Other advanced analysis like Side Population Analysis and single cell sorting. Our instruments include: BD FACS Aria II BD FACS Aria III Cytoflex - Beckman Coulter Our Training programs include: Two day workshop program on "Basics of Flow Cytometry and its applications."
