We are a feminist network committed to establish and extend the reach of “Empowerment Self-defense” (ESD),a key strategy to address, prevent and mitigate violence in the region. ESD is an innovative and evidence-based intervention that has been proved to effectively reduce rates of sexual assault and other types of violence, contributing to increase self-esteem and confidence, strengthen skills in assertiveness, boundary setting, etc. We do so in three ways: 1) organizing and conducting EDS train the trainers, 2) holding and strengthening a network of ESD experts, 3) creating partnerships and alliances with organizations and connecting them with ESD experts, 4) developing ESD case studies and research.
