Rice Wind Energy

Rice Wind Energy is Rice University's student-run wind energy team competing in the annual U.S. Department of Energy Collegiate Wind Competition. Our mission is to provide aspiring leaders and innovators who are passionate about sustainability the opportunity to gain industry-applicable experience by solving real-world wind energy challenges in a collaborative environment. Rice Wind Energy has three main focuses: building an autonomous scale wind turbine, siting and financing a wind farm in real-world conditions, and leading wind energy outreach efforts to educate others and learn from industry professionals. We require no experience and welcome any undergraduate at Rice to join!
