German Quality - Made in Malaysia Richter Rubber Technology, a pioneer in the condom industry has been manufacturing own-brand and third party branded condoms for over 85 years. Richter Rubber Technology was founded by Emil Richter in the 1920’s in Erfurt, Germany. After the Second World War, Emil Richter's son, Hermann, had the idea, to develop the first automatic latex dipping line in Germany. He made the first trials on the latex process and suitable latex compounds in Sarstedt, near Hanover, Germany. Hermann Richter collaborated with two English engineers, to develop the first automatic dipping line in Germany. In 1981 Hermann’s son Klaus joined the company to become overseas production manager in Sarstedt. Under his tenure, the production capacity for condoms was extended and doubled to more than one million gross per year. Under the two Richters, the condom lines, testing machines and laboratory equipment were constructed and steadily improved upon. Today Richter Rubber Technology is the international symbol of excellence in condom manufacturing. We have continued to follow the values upon which the company was founded, striving for excellence in all parts of the business, delivering first class products and customer service at all times.
