Reaching for Inclusion – Striving for Excellence (RISE) in Computing at GSU is a community to support undergraduate computing students with an emphasis on enhancing the lived experiences of Black women in computing, with aims to:
• Increase retention, persistence, and graduation of Black women
• Develop a more welcoming departmental culture for Black women in
computing at GSU
• Provide better social mobility, career options, & job security for Black
women post-graduation
