EIT RawMaterials Greece Representative

𝗘𝗜𝗧 𝗥𝗮𝘄𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗛𝘂𝗯 - 𝗥𝗜𝗦 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗲 was established in May 2018 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (𝗘𝗜𝗧 𝗥𝗮𝘄𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀) and the National Technical University of Athens (𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗔). We operate under the Laboratory of Metallurgy, School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at NTUA. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 🌟 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗥𝗮𝘄 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿. This gap is well documented, with Greece classified as a “moderate” innovator by the European Innovation Scoreboard, demonstrating significant gaps in innovation capacity, especially in raw materials and manufacturing. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 🎯 Our mission is based on 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀: 1. 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆: Mobilizing national actors and fostering European cooperation in the Greek raw materials sector. 2. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Encouraging the establishment and growth of businesses within the sector. 3. 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Increasing entrepreneurial and innovation capacity in higher education across Greece. 4. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Assisting neighboring RIS countries in improving their innovation capacities. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀🛠️ 1. 𝗞𝗔𝗩𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝘁-𝗨𝗽 2. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗔𝗩𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 3. 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲s: E.g. sustainability reporting for the Greek raw materials industry. 4. 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: Tailored to the Greek raw materials sector. 5. 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: Through EIT RM entrepreneurship calls for young researchers, idea holders, startups, and SMEs with 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗜.
