RISK e.V.

In 2003, the student organization Risk Initiative Stochastics Karlsruhe e.V. (RISK) was founded with the goal of providing an interactive platform in order to bring together university students and companies of the financial industry. RISK’s mission to connect students of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) with potential employers of the financial sector does not only close the gap between the theoretical university and the practical corporate world, but also enables students to get to know various financial companies and to build up their professional network. Thus, RISK regularly hosts workshops and discussion sessions with leading financial institutions. Since 2007, RISK has been organizing the Banking Days, a one-week annual recruiting event on campus. This event provides students the possibility to get in contact with prestigious companies of the financial sector and therefore offers a great platform of close communication for companies and students. Moreover, RISK constantly maintains the dialogue with current and former members of the organization in order to support the exchange of experience regarding, for instance, possible applications for internships or permanent employment.
