River Rock Operating, LLC operates over 2,500 oil and gas wells, and over 2,300 miles of gas gathering assets in the Cherokee Basin as the result of a 2016 acquisition by River Rock Energy Company. At the time of the acquisition, many of the production and mid-stream personnel of the former operator, including experienced field technicians and field level management, were hired by River Rock Operating to ensure a smooth transition of both the production and mid-stream operations. The combination of experienced personnel from Cardinal River Energy and from the former operator provides a seasoned operations team that manages the company’s day-to-day operations. This team of production and mid-stream personnel helps ensure that the company’s operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. The operational team plays an important role in ensuring that the company’s oil and gas reserves continue to grow at low finding costs, while lifting costs are continuously minimized. River Rock Operating utilizes state-of-the art telemetry and SCADA systems to continuously monitor critical well performance and mid-stream operating data. Real-time monitoring of pressure, flow, temperature and other important data enables the company to better understand well behavior, improve well and mid-stream operational efficiency, while mitigating operational risks and overhead costs.
