Raj Kumari Foundation

The Raj Kumari Foundation has been actively working towards sustainable rural development since 2015. In this period, the organization has been engaged in multiple campaigns and rural development initiatives in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. RKF is one of the primary partners of HCL Foundation – the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of HCL Technologies. Under this partnership, RKF manages the implementation of general healthcare service delivery to 6 lakhs individuals from 765 villages of Uttar Pradesh. It does so with the help of able medical staff that run 6 Mobile Health Clinics for the purpose. RKF is also responsible for management of bio-medical waste generated in the health facilities managed under the scope of this partnership. Two other flagship programs of the Raj Kumari Foundation are being successfully implemented in partnership with the state governments and have gained state-wide attention the last four years. The first flagship program - an Industrial Training Institute established by the foundation in collaboration with the Bihar Skill Development Mission, has successfully so far trained more than 500 youth. The USP of the program lies in the fact that the work is being bravely carried out in Sahebganj – an interior area affected by left-wing extremism and one the backward regions of the country, and has gained wide societal acceptance. The second flagship program is aimed at making society a better place for living and is an example of convergence between livelihood, rehabilitation, societal inclusion and second chance at a good life. In collaboration with our reverent Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) who are responsible for guarding the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders, the Foundation is directly engaged with prisoners in jail and is working to rehabilitate them in society after completing their sentence. This is done through rigorous engagement, skill training, counselling, and health care related interventions.
