RDC is a 100% State Owned Entity formed by a presidential decree in June 2019 with the aim of the promoting the construction of rigid and flexible development of Roads, Repair and Maintenance of Bridges, Building of highways and Causeways, with construction materials and reinforced Landscaping. RDC as a newly established manufacturing company with exclusively inherited patented products that will revolutionize the construction industry in the country. As of today RDC’s share capital is valued at MVR 50,000,000.
On 9th June 2019, President Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih established Road Development Corporation Limited with mandate to facilitate the building of high quality roads across all Maldivian islands in order to increase their connectivity. Overseeing such projects and creating a framework to maintain roads are also part of RDCs mandate.
Being a 100% state owned entity, RDC aims to streamline the vision and the mission statement to provide a valuable service to the communities throughout the country.
