About ROADMAP: Research Opportunities and Development Through Mentorship in Applied Psychology

Mission The Research Opportunities And Development through Mentorship in Applied Psychology (ROADMAP) program is committed to paving a path toward a transformative educational and career development journey for underrepresented undergraduates, in particular those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC). By creating a robust program of mentorship and research opportunities within Northeastern’s applied psychology research laboratories, we strive to support and empower students from historically marginalized backgrounds as they embark on a pathway toward socially just scholarship, leadership, and advocacy in their careers. Collectively, we aim to champion diversity, drive innovation, ignite passion, and cultivate a community where every voice matters. Vision ROADMAP envisions a future where the landscape of applied psychology reflects the rich tapestry of human experience. Our program aims to enhance diversity in graduate programs and clinical settings and catalyze a paradigm shift toward socially just research and practice. Greater representation will enrich our understanding of marginalized experiences and improve outcomes for all. Values Social Justice Equity Intersectionality Diversity Community
