Roads Rails and Runways (RRR) was created with the aim of prolonging the life of our ageing assets, over years it has been found that with the ageing population there has been a significant loss of corporate knowledge through attrition of baby boomers. The succeeding generations X & Y are no longer interested in the long-term careers/jobs, and in an industry which values experience, this is significantly eroding the technical capability. Furthermore, with the emergence of millennials in the workforce, seeking portfolio exposure ahead of long-term experiences, has created a vacuum in the engineering industry experienced by most firms.
The advent of gig economy in which positions or projects are offered to independent workers for short-term engagements is currently offering a viable alternative to those no longer wanting a 9-5 gig.
RRR aims to address the industry shortage by offering a series of engineering and associated services taking advantage of the Gig economy. Operating on a virtual platform and catering to clients, we offer a pool of qualified and experienced professionals interested in doing a short-term gig, which we call “Gigengineering”.
Gigengineering offers our clients a viable alternative to the conventional consultancy firms, as it caters to the smaller, short-term projects which may be costly or cumbersome. Conversely, Gigengineering offers our team the flexibility to undertake and deliver projects based on their availability.
