Robert Yates Racing

Robert Yates Racing (RYR), was a NASCAR Cup Series championship-winning team that operated from 1989 to 2009, started and owned by NASCAR Hall of Famer and legendary engine builder Robert Yates. RYR won the driver's, team's, and manufacturer's championship in 1999 in NASCAR's premier division, the NASCAR Cup Series, with Dale Jarrett and Ford Motor Company. In 2004 the engine programs of RYR and Roush-Fenway Keselowski Racing (then Roush Racing) joined forces to create Roush Yates Engines, the exclusive engine builder for Ford Performance in NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series, a role Roush Yates Engines still performs today. Over Robert Yates Racing's 20 year tenure, the team amassed 57 NASCAR Cup Series Wins (including 3 Daytona 500 victories - 1992, 1996, 2000) and one NASCAR Cup Series Championship.
