We live in an age of uncertainty, physically, socially and technologically. Many systems we take for granted are become life and mission critical. For example we all have most of our eggs in one basket called the internet. What is it stopped tomorrow? At the Institute for Adaptive System Resilience we engage in research, analysis, improvement, redesign and commissioning of sustainable systems based on natural solutions. If we cant express a problem in plain English then we dont attampt a solution, there would be no point. We look at existing systems with a professionally jaundiced eye. We seek improvement and solutions that not only will work, but will continue to work in degraded situations and environments. We aim for resilience, we mitigate fragility.
