These pristine environments contain unpolluted air, fresh rainwater and a profusion of flowering plants that provide our bees with the essential elements to create the finest and most healthful honey. The RFRP LLC organic jujue orchard has been cultivated with care and thoughtfulness, using agro-forestry to create more diverse, productive, healthy, ecologically sound, and sustainable land-use systems, including: Water conservation: We utilize micro-sprinklers for the minimum necessary irrigation, which is done only at night. Native cover cropping: We plant heliotrope within the orchard which provides the added benefit of supplying bee forage during the late summer. Closed loop fertilization: When the heliotrope is frosted back, it is lightly tilled into our marginal soil to build humus. We also use efficient regenerative agriculture methods that enhance soil microbial diversity, thereby improving soil nutrition, plant health, fruit quality & nutrition, as well as improving production. While some of the nutritious and sweet fruit is collected fresh, most is dried on the tree and harvested by hand to be sold later.
