ROUT Foudation has been established in 2009 in the form of Non-Profit Corporation to serve the Culture of all that happens in the Rhodope Mountains National Park, serving 3 pillars.
1. the (re)connection of Man with Nature
2. the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage

The first pillar has been supported to date with
- the organization of a series of social activities of a sporting nature such as
• the ROUT CLASSIC 100 miles (endurance race 182 km – 15 organized to date, the oldest race in Greece and the 3rd oldest in Europe)
• the ROC 50 MILES (endurance race 89 km – 15 events to date) • the HAIDOU TRAIL PARTY (mountain race 24 km – 15 events to date)
• the HAIDOU KIDS (mountain race for children with a distance of 5.5 km - 15 events to date) - through crossings (camps – 7 actions to date)
The second pillar is supported to this day by maintenance of.
- the Forest Village in Hainto, Xanthi
- the mountain refuge in Livaditis village
- 182 kilometers of path through cleanings yearround
- the School complex in the village of Prasinada, Drama
- of stone bridges of old settlements while
The third pillar is supported by a multitude of People who volunteer both time and money as well as high level services.
Over 4,000 people from Greece and abroad have participated in all the above-mentioned actions, discovering the greatness of the Culture that exists in our Rhodope National Park.
