For 33 years, this all-volunteer program has served to help those behind bars find help and hope. The program is now active in each prison in the state of Kansas, including the Federal Penitentiary in Leavenworth. Thanks to generous funding from the Bob Barker Foundation, Reaching Out From Within is now also in a number of prisons in the state of North Carolina.
ROFW members reflect on and discuss probing questions in the Blue Book to examine issues ranging from domestic violence and child abuse, to anger management and forgiveness. It is in working through the Blue Book together that so many members report growth, breakthroughs and greater understanding for the life choices that resulted in incarceration.
