The cycle time from application to approval was lowered from an average of 16 days to 1 hour and the time from approval to closing was improved from 63days to 5 days. Free-Up Valuable Resources For a large hospital, helped them rethink their basic approach to patient care in their thoracic surgery unit from one based on continuously transferring the patients between various departments for each different service into a team approach with each team member cross-trained to perform several functions.
