Rollins' Student Outbreak And Response Team

Rollins' Student Outbreak And Response Team company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Student Outbreak and Response Team (SORT) is one of the oldest graduate student organizations at the Rollins School of Public Health, established in 2001. This competitive organization seeks to promote future public health leadership by providing students with hands-on training in outbreak response and emergency preparedness. SORT’s partnerships with the Fulton County and DeKalb County Boards of Health, the Center for Public Health Preparedness and Research at Emory University, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gives members the opportunity to apply public health theory in practical settings. SORT welcomes a variety of local, state and federal government public health agencies in addition to other non-governmental organizations and student organizations to provide current public health students with the opportunity to apply theory in practical settings. Our signature event is an annual networking night in collaboration with the Humanitarian Emergencies Research Team (HERT) each spring for RSPH students, alumni, and local professionals interested in emergency/outbreak preparedness and response to connect and learn from each other. If you would like to connect with us, feel free to follow us on Instagram at @rollinssort or send us an email at sort.networking@gmail.com
