The Romanian Bioinformatics Cluster (CRB) is an entity established in 2022 by 17 universities and research and medical organisations, the Romanian Society for Medical Genetics and the Romanian Society of Bioinformatics. CRB operates as a not-for-profit entity with legal status and a federated structure. Its organisational model draws inspiration from National ELIXIR Nodes.
CRB's primary objectives include:
- a framework for the development of national bioinformatics training and resources;
- increase the value of data through the development of data infrastructures;
- easy access to bioinformatics tools with sufficient information on performance.
