Romanian HUB for Artificial Intelligence

HRIA aims to advance research, development, and innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence by creating an attractive and competitive ecosystem that brings together the efforts of academia and industry to generate a nucleus of knowledge and development in AI, integrated into the European Research Area. The project is coordinated by the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, acting as the beneficiary, and is implemented in partnership with six universities: Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, West University of Timișoara, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, Politehnica University of Timișoara, the University of Bucharest, “Babeș-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca, and eight innovative SMEs, selected through a competitive and transparent process. The project "Romanian Hub for Artificial Intelligence – HRIA" is part of the Intelligent Growth, Digitalization, and Financial Instruments 2021–2027 Programme and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), under project code SMIS: 334906. Project duration: 2025-2029.
