About Rondiya Group

Our research group focuses on the development of advanced energy materials and their applications in next-generation devices, with a specific emphasis on band alignment and interface engineering. We utilize state-of-the-art spectroscopic techniques to investigate the fundamental properties of these materials and engineer their defects for enhanced performance. Our group's primary research interest lies in the solution-based synthesis and thin film deposition of low-cost energy materials for solar energy harnessing. Nanomaterial synthesis and deposition is an active field in nanotechnology research, and our group utilizes a range of techniques to control the structure, thickness, morphology, and stability of thin films for diverse applications. Our current focus is on the investigation of two material classes, namely Cu-based chalcogenide materials and perovskites, for their use in solar devices. To develop these energy materials, we employ a variety of high vacuum deposition techniques such as plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition, hot-wire chemical vapor deposition, and radio-frequency magnetron sputtering, as well as solution-based synthesis methods such as hot injection and chemical bath deposition. Our goal is to develop novel, sustainable energy materials for energy and optoelectronic applications, and we meticulously characterize each material's properties to identify potential applications and improve device performance. In addition to the development of energy materials, our group also focuses on band alignment and interface engineering to improve the performance of energy devices. By investigating the properties of material interfaces, we can engineer their band alignments for optimal device performance. We use advanced spectroscopic techniques to study the electronic properties of interfaces and identify ways to engineer their properties for enhanced performance. To support our research, we utilize state-of-the-art spectroscopic investigation techn
