Root Negative One: FIRST Tech Challenge Team 9879

Root Negative One, FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Hall of Fame Team 9879, is from Northwest Arkansas, USA. We have competed in FTC, a robotics program for students in grades 7-12, since the 2015-16 FIRST RES-Q season. In an effort to be a model STEM education and outreach program, we engage not only in robotics engineering, but also in community engagement and team building activities. For our efforts, we received the Inspire Award, the top judged award at an FTC tournament, at the 2018-2019 FIRST World Championship in Houston, and we were selected to be Team USA at the 2019 FIRST Global Challenge in Dubai.
