Our Mission: To empower youth and families in rural Uganda through education and enterprise development so they become self-directed, resourceful, productive members of their own communities. As model citizens, they are able to then work together to determine their own futures and the future of the community. What we fight against: Short-term, unsustainable solutions. What We Fight For: Home-grown transformation; finding and equipping Africa's local leaders. What We Do: We enable knowledge transfer, through 4 core programs: 1. Women’s Enterprise Training Program 2. Enterprise Projects 3. Vocational Training 4. Community Development Associations (CDA) How We Do it: 1. By linking education and enterprise 2. By tackling cultural inhibitors 3. By creating ownership (literally and figuratively) Why We're Different: 1. We’re building infrastructure for long-term, sustainable success. 2. We are focused on Africans' self-sufficiency and thriving communities (level 2) focused on Africans’ self-sufficiency and thriving communities. (flourishing = level 2) 3. We’re creating “legacy leaders” with scalable benefits. Reasons to Believe: 1. We’re measured by locals becoming leaders in their community. 2. We have proof of “viral/exponential good” – community leaders are raising new community leaders, etc. 3. We’re focused in Uganda only 4.
