Roots&Transition is a global humanitarian and development organization based in Belgium. We provide research, program support, and monitoring and evaluation services. Our team of professional experts has extensive experience in delivering technical support and innovative solutions to address protracted crises and recurrent disasters, enhance resilience, manage risk, and bridge humanitarian and development initiatives. Modus Operandi:
Committed to the locally led humanitarian aid framework: Roots&Transition advocates for a system where aid is locally led and owned mechanism which needs a critical shift from a delivery contract to a truly partnership agreement with civil society organisations.
Supporting the humanitarian-development-peace (HDP) or ‘triple nexus’ approach:Roots&Transition adheres to the triple nexus approach and philosophy developed by the OECD DAC framework that prioritises ‘prevention always, development wherever possible, humanitarian action when necessary’.
