Rootsmaker is the story of a carefree but committed road trip documenting community workcamps. Travelling by road, rail or hitchhiking, this docu-series is fuelled by encounters with farmers and the life stories discovered in various third places and urban farms. At once intimate, poetic and motivated by a furious desire for adventure, it's an invitation to break away from the frenetic pace of life and explore how living soil, low tech, culture and the place of women combine to feed the world.
