Root first pop-up, a rural sourdough pizza & brunch concept achieved critical acclaim with national press coverage. Its second was a highly popular coffe and cake summer pop-up by the river in central Umeå in collaboration with a boat restaurant.
Root is owned by Kerstin Hörnfelt and Daniel Allen, who moved from London to the north of Sweden in 2019. Their background spans three decades across restuarants, pubs and hotels in the UK.
