Selskabet af 1. september 2008 A/S in bankruptcy is the former Roskilde Bank.
The company divested its banking activities to a new Roskilde Bank by a transfer agreement dated 24 August 2008. The transfer agreement received final approval from the Danish FSA on 6 October 2008. On the same date, the company filed for suspension of payments with the bankruptcy court, subsequently changing its name to the present name of Selskabet af 1. september 2008 A/S.
As recommended by the supervisors appointed by the bankruptcy court, the Board of Directors of the company established in February 2009 that the company failed to meet the conditions for maintaining the suspension of payments and that the company was insolvent. Accordingly, the Board of Directors filed a bankruptcy petition with the bankruptcy court of Roskilde on 26 February 2009. The bankruptcy court made a bankruptcy order on 3 March 2009.
Now the company is under liquidation.
