Rossbrook House Foundation

The Foundation’s sole purpose is to assist Rossbrook House in conducting its programs & operations. Created in 2006, Rossbrook House Foundation exists to help Rossbrook House respond to the growing need to provide a safe place & services to children & youth coming through its doors. The Foundation serves to help Sister MacNamara’s mission, and that of Rossbrook House, that “No child who does not want to be alone, should ever have to be.” Rossbrook House Foundation provides supporters of Rossbrook’s mission with a vehicle to make financial contributions, including monthly giving, one-time gifts, bequests & more! These gifts will go directly to supporting the day to day activities & programs for Rossbrook House participants & their families. Rossbrook House... a safe place for children & youth living in the inner-city of Winnipeg to belong, play, learn & become... Today, over 1,000 children and youth ages 6-24 years come through the doors annually & up to 80 participants on a daily basis. Beyond being a safe place to be, Rossbrook has three alternative school programs, an afterschool homework club, young mom’s group, sports & recreational activities, Aboriginal cultural activities, leadership activities, a music program & a healthy kitchen program that provides daily meals to participants while teaching them about healthy eating & cooking. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, & Dene peoples, & on the homeland of the Red River Metis. We acknowledge that our water is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. We respect the Treaties made on these territories & dedicate ourselves to move forward with Indigenous communities in a spirit of truth, reconciliation, & collaboration to make our city an inclusive & accessible place for all.
