Rotary Club of Richmond BC Canada

The Rotary Club of Richmond was chartered in April 12, 1962. For over 55 years, we have been nurturing ideas, developing projects and delivering service to the community and the wider world. Along the way, we have made lifetime friendships and have Fun. Our Members live or work in Richmond, and give back to the community through projects supporting the Richmond Hospital, Rotary Hospice House, Food Bank, Christmas Hamper Fund, SOS Childrens Village BC, Richmond Centre for Disability, Fire Department and Seniors Residences. We sponsor Rotaract and Interact Clubs for young people from 12-30. We have given High School Scholarships and other endowments over the years. We also sponsor young people to attend Rotary Youth Leadership Training, Adventures in Citizenship and the popular Student Exchange programme. Besides the on-going effort to end Polio worldwide, we have donated ambulances, hospital equipment and wheelchairs to distant parts of the world and helped financially with disaster relief. Club members join Rotary to make a difference through service and friendship. We look for inspiration to the founder of Rotary, Paul P. Harris. February 23, 1944, he said “Beneath Rotary’s many and varied activities, there is the unchanging undertones of goodwill, goodwill, goodwill.” This might well be the mission statement for the Rotary Club of Richmond.
