Rounded Corners is an app-building platform that helps companies create and distribute apps faster and more easily than ever before. We specialize in well-designed catalog and portfolio apps.
Rounded Corners was founded in 2009 by Mickey and Maury Riad and Arden Klemmer. That year, Fortuny was about to launch a new collection, when their nice friends at Pentagram (thanks Luke and Shigeto) suggested they launch with an app. So began the relationship between the 100-year-old Venetian fabric house and the iPad. There were tons of logistical perks: clients had access to the entire collection anywhere, any time; it cut down on sampling costs; Fortuny could update the collection whenever it needed updating, and it was the most effective sales tool they had to date.
They quickly realized there was an enormous demand within the luxury industry for an app that gave users an interactive, up-to-the-minute catalog or portfolio experience that the Riads decided to combine their design experience with a skilled development team and Rounded Corners was born.
