Roxon is an established and trusted firm of solar PV specialists and electricians based in Gloucestershire with many years' experience in all aspects of domestic and commercial solar and electrical installations, repairs and maintenance. ABOUT US Roxon’s founders, Chris James and Melvyn McCartney, had each accrued years of experience working within the electrical industry before forging a partnership in the early 2000s. Chris started his electrical career working for the Midlands Electricity Board - the public sector utility company responsible for electricity generation and electrical infrastructure maintenance in the Midlands until 1990. He and Mel first met when Mel was working as a qualified supervisor for NICEIC - the UK’s leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry. In 2007 Roxon Electrical, under the partnership of Chris and Mel, was incorporated as a limited company. In its early years the company’s main focus was on electrical services, carrying out general electrical installation, maintenance and contracting works to a customer base incorporating both domestic and commercial clients, including some of the UK’s major bluechip companies. Their distinctive Roxon vans could be seen out and about 24/7, responding to emergency electrical callouts for the insurance industry. After a number of years of growth and expansion, Roxon incorporated solar PV into its portfolio of services, prior to moving to larger premises at Innsworth Technology Park in Gloucester in 2012. ROXON TODAY Roxon Electrical now employs a staff of 12, which includes its team of highly-qualified, MCS and NICEICE-registered and approved solar and electrical technicians.
