Royal Science and Technology Park

We aim to be the leading oasis, of science, and innovative technologies, for wealth creation. We are the hub for stimulating science, and innovative technologies for commercialization, in the Kingdom of Eswatini. To achieve the mission, we: Facilitate research and technology transfer; Facilitate technology “know how”, and entrepreneurship; Facilitate manufacturing of technologies; and Provide IT technology-based business solutions. The Royal Science and Technology Park is divided into two divisions which are the Innovation Park and the Biotechnology Park. These two parks utilize an estimate of 317.17ha of land, for which consists of industrial development land, and shared between research laboratories, administration centres and residential buildings. The Innovation Park measures a land area of 158.4ha and situated at Phocweni, this Park is the hub for information technology driven services and products. Infrastructure that has been developed at this Park is currently the Songcondvongcondvo Wemaswati House, which occupies 4ha of land. This building is a Platform for R&D in IT, production of high tech products, capacity building in latest technologies, marketing and trading. Songcondvongcondvo Wemaswati House houses the following business units; 1. Advanced School of IT 2. National Data Centre 3. Business Incubator 4. Investor Management Services The Biotechnology Park is situated at Nokwane and it covers a total area of 159 hectares, with an industrial area size of 70 hectares, residential area size of 20 hectares, and the remaining area size of 69 hectares for the One Stop shop service centre, cultural village, R&D, parks and roads.
