About Royal Aero Club of New South Wales

From Pioneers to Leaders, where dreams take flight: Over 100 years ago in November 1920, the Royal Aero Club of New South Wales was founded by the courageous aviators of the Australian Flying Corps upon their return from the Great War. In 1926, we welcomed our first three aircraft, the iconic De Havilland Moths marking the beginning of our journey. As the years went by our passion for aviation soared, leading us to outgrew our original home base at Mascot. In 1949, we relocated to Bankstown and established ourselves as one of the largest and most vibrant flying clubs in the Commonwealth. Today we cherish our rich aviation heritage and embrace the future with great enthusiasm as we shape the next generation of pilots, leaders, and aviators.
