DearFutureMe is a dynamic youth-led grassroots organization based in Regent Park, devoted to empowering racialized, low-income middle school youth residing in Toronto Community Housing. Our mission revolves around fostering self-growth, self-reflection, and social cohesion within the community.
For the past three years, DearFutureMe has delivered transformative programs for over 50 youth. Our program included enriching trips, engaging team-building activities, and skill-building workshops. Our projects emphasize inclusivity, community engagement, and self-development to explore strengths and weaknesses, as well as passions and interests.
We prioritize enhancing self-confidence in middle school youth to prepare for the challenges when transitioning to high school and beyond. For the next steps, we aspire to continue supporting youth in attaining success, by equipping them with the appropriate tools. Through workshops focused on essential interpersonal skills, civic engagement, and socio-emotional learning, we aim to develop confident and resilient young leaders who can shape the future of their community.
