RSS Data Science and AI Section

The Data Science and AI Section of the Royal Statistical Society was established in 2017, as a professional body that represents data scientists in the UK. The section sets out to address emerging topics that will impact the long term success of data science as a profession. In 2019, the section will work towards this goal via these activities: - Support technically-skilled data scientists by increasing their public profile and providing a mentorship network. - Run a series of events with UK data science leaders, disseminating guidance and exemplars of best practice. - Social events and hackathons. The section committee includes representatives from business, industry, government and academia. The current committee can be found on the RSS website.
